Rosalee Bernabe is a visual artist born and raised in Whittier, CA. Her work traces the many intersections of myth, place, materiality, and ritual while oscillating between lens-based media, sculpture, bookmaking, and food. She has screened and exhibited at Berlin Feminist Film Week, ACID-FREE, Esto Es Para Esto, Human Resources Los Angeles, and several now-defunct art spaces across the US. Rosalee has self-published a number of artist books and photo zines, including Luciérnagas (2014), Pensamientos (2017), Tanggal (2017), and a forthcoming rumination on mythical food cultures. You may also know her as the creator and operator of Chariot, a rogue microbakery and psychic cake project based in Los Angeles. You can view her ephemeral sculptures in Vogue, T Magazine, and on Instagram. She is currently pursuing an altMA in Food & Art at The Gramounce, where she is exploring narratives that collapse rural, urban, and supernatural futures.
