Rosalee Bernabe is a visual artist born and raised in Whittier, CA. Her work traces the many intersections of myth, place, materiality, and ritual while oscillating between lens-based media, sculpture, bookmaking, and food. Rosalee has screened and exhibited at Berlin Feminist Film Week, ACID-FREE, Esto Es Para Esto, Human Resources Los Angeles, and several now-defunct art spaces across the US. She has self-published a number of artist books and photo zines, including Luciérnagas (2014), Pensamientos (2017), Tanggal (2017), and a forthcoming rumination on family food histories. You may also know her as the creator and operator of Chariot, a rogue microbakery and psychic cake project based in Los Angeles. You can view her ephemeral sculptures in Vogue, T Magazine, and on Instagram.
